Joint Stabilizing Sand A unique blend of subway tunnel excavate (granite) and organic crushed plan seed that binds particles together. Using Manhattan Go Green Sand, paving stone joints are stabilized to a hard surface, yet remain pliable enough to accept expansion and contraction. This sand stays put! Features: Stabilized Joint Sand Featuring Organic Binders, Sand Remains in Joints, Can be used on Paving Stone, Driveways, Walks and Patio, Less Weed and Insect Penetration, Porous Manhattan Go Green Sand, Soaks up Water Until it is Saturated, then Drains (Recharge Value, Leed Point Potential).

Installation Specifications:
-Prepare base and install pavers to recommended specifications of paver manufacturer.
-The pavers should be completely dry prior to installation.
-Sweep the Manhattan Go Green Sand into the joints between the pavers.
-Compact the Manhattan Go Green Sand with a vibratory plate compactor to vibrate the sand deeper into the joint.
-Repeat steps 3 and 4 until the Manhattan Go Green Sand fills in the entire joint.
-Clean the excess Manhattan Go Green Sand off of the surface of the pavers.
-Moisten only the top layer of the Manhattan Go Green Sand with a fine mist of water. (Make sure the water -pressure is low, so the Manhattan Go Green Sand is not washed out of the joints.)
-Thoroughly soak the Manhattan Go Green Sand without generating any material run-off.

Precautions:
-When power washing, avoid direct spraying for long periods of time, and it is best to use a fan tip.
-Never power wash when Manhattan Go Green Sand is wet.
-Do not use over regular joint sand.
-Remove debris/organic matter from joints before applying Manhattan Go Green Sand
-Use Manhattan Go Green Sand only when dry weather is certain for 24 hours.
-Only use over a properly drained base.
-Check moisture penetration with a screwdriver or knife. If entire depth of joint is not moist, then add more water.
-Allow the Manhattan Go Green Sand to dry for up to 24 hours or until firm.
